Toyota Appoints New Commercial Vehicle Manager

16 March 2001

Toyota (GB) PLC has appointed Peter Howarth as its new Commercial Vehicle Manager, responsible for the company’s expanding commercial vehicle range.

Peter moves to his new position on 2nd April 2001 and will report to Jon Pollock, General Manager Fleet Sales. Peter brings with him extensive experience in fleet sales, product marketing and more recently as Area Sales Manager for Toyota GB.

Peter’s responsibilities will include all sales and dealer representation issues regarding Toyota commercial vehicles. He will also focus on the introduction of a dedicated commercial vehicle network over the next year.

Peter comments: “I am very much looking forward to moving to my new commercial vehicle role during this challenging time in the commercial vehicle market. Toyota’s commitment to develop a dedicated commercial vehicle network provides the platform for our expanding range of products, excellent sales and aftersales support over the next few years. It offers fantastic opportunities to increase Hilux and Hiace sales and to prepare for the introduction of Dyna to the market later this year”.

ENDS

Note to Editors: Peter Howarth will be available for comment on the Toyota Stand 2230 Hall 2 on Tuesday 20 March. Please ask for Sam Williams or Debbie Ayres on the Toyota Stand.
