Hilux Rescues Ice Road Truckers

12 March 2013

Standard Toyota Hilux hauls articulated lorry up icy incline

The icy blast that has wreaked havoc for motorists in East Sussex is no match for Toyota’s Hilux.

The car, supplied by SLM Motors of Uckfield, successfully towed a heavy goods vehicle up a slippery stretch of road as it was attempting to supply a Sainsbury’s supermarket. Lorries of this type can weigh up to 44 tons fully laden.

It is just another example of why Toyota call the Hilux ‘Invincible’. After conquering both poles, conquering the ice of East Sussex was an (icy) breeze.
