Visioncall Sees Value In Choosing The New Toyota Auris

27 November 2013

New fleet deal secured with leading home visiting optician service

Visioncall, one of the UK’s leading home visiting optician service providers, has switched to the new Toyota Auris for its national vehicle fleet.

The company has taken delivery of the first of 80 of the British-built hatchbacks that will be supplied over the next three years, through fleet management specialists Arval.

The Auris, all Active grade models powered by a 1.4 D-4D diesel engine, are supplied by the SDM Toyota Centre in Falkirk.

Brian McGuire, Visioncall Group Managing Director, said: “It’s essential that our visiting opticians have transport that is right for the job and that can be relied on. It is also a priority that our vehicle fleet is cost-efficient to operate.

“We were impressed by Auris, it meets our requirements in terms of design, quality and performance. The data presented to us by SDM on running costs and the contract hire leasing rates from Arval were very competitive, making the Toyota the best all-round proposition for our fleet.”

Nicole Deacon, Business Manager at Arval said: “Visioncall has been a customer of Arval for more than nine years, during which time we have been able to deliver effective services to their drivers and enhanced online functionality through our new leasing system. We are delighted to be extending this relationship and helping them meet their business priorities with the new Toyota Auris for their vehicle fleet.”

The first Auris for the Visioncall fleet were handed over to the company at its headquarters in Cambuslang, Glasgow, on 18 November.

Built at Toyota’s UK car plant in Derbyshire, the new Auris hatchback is offered with petrol, diesel and full hybrid powertrains. The 1.4 D-4D diesel model specified by Visioncall has official combined cycle fuel economy of 74.3mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km, qualifying for zero annual road tax (VED) and low benefit-in-kind company car tax rates.
