Toyota launches sales of fuel cell buses
Toyota fuel cell buses are to go on sale in 2017 after successful field tests in Japan. The first vehicles will enter service in Tokyo, with plans for more than 100 to be on the road ready for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Read more here.

More hybrid investment for Europe
Toyota is investing €150 million to launch production of a hybrid transaxle and additional petrol engines in Poland. The transaxle will be used in both Auris hybrid and new Toyota C-HR crossover models. Read more here.

Funding secured for hydrogen fuel cell expansion
More Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell cars are heading for the UK next spring, helped by further Government investment in ultra-low emission vehicles. Toyota is also expanding its network of specialist service centres as more hydrogen filling stations open around the country. Read more here.

Hänninen in the rally hot seat
Finnish rally star Juha Hänninen has been named as Toyota Gazoo Racing’s driver for the 2017 World Rally Championship. He will take his seat in the Yaris WRC alongside fellow Finn Kaj Lindström as co-driver. Read more here.

Toyota’s winning ways
Toyota Gazoo Racing posted their first World Endurance Championship win of the season with a thrilling and hard-fought race in the 6 Hours of Fuji. The trio of Mike Conway, Stéphane Sarrazin and Kamui Kobayashi  claimed the honours at Toyota’s “home” circuit in Japan. Read more here.

Mirai rally success
Mirai has taken overall victory in the e-Rally Monte Carlo, a sporting challenge for zero emission vehicles. Artur Prusak and Thierry Benchetrit steered Toyota’s hydrogen fuel cell saloon to success over a course of more than 1,000km. 

Toyota teams with Suzuki
Toyota and Suzuki Motor Corporation have agreed to explore ideas directed towards a new business partnership to work on new environmental, safety and IT research and development. Read and more here.

2017 RAV4 leads with new safety systems
The 2017 Toyota RAV4 has just been released, featuring a series of equipment upgrades led by the provision of Toyota Safety Sense as standard across the range – excepting the entry-level model where it’s now available as an option. Read more here.
