Crisis at Christmas: Helping Homeless People
Crisis, the national charity for homeless people, is opening Christmas centres across the country to provide food, warmth, vital services and support for people to take their first steps out of homelessness. Crisis at Christmas is a unique volunteer effort that provides immediate help for people at a critical time of year.
Toyota GB is pleased to help the charity, which in its 50th year is committed to ending homelessness for good. It has provided a fleet of vehicles to help the Crisis teams with deliveries, collections and general transport needs through the Christmas period. Toyota staff have also donated new and as-new warm winter clothing for distribution.
This year Crisis will welcome guests at more than a dozen centres across the country, offering food, clothing, health services and a chance to relax. Its work does not end there: it provides individual advice and support, and encourages people to make use of their year-round service centres.
Members of the public can provide valuable help through donations, fund-raising, volunteering or signing up to Crisis’s Everybody In campaign for permanent change.
