Toyota is in final preparations for a late May launch of its ‘Crayon’ * electric vehicle commuter system, a 21st century-minded, environmentally-friendly mobility system that combines its small two-seater electric ‘e-com’ commuter vehicle and the latest IT technologies.
Called the Yaris Verso, it promises to deliver the flexibility of an MPV to a new generation of small car drivers. For example, the rear seats can be folded completely flat into the floor to create a large load carrying area.
The Yaris, Toyota’s new small car for Europe will be easy to own and cost-effective to run thanks to a host of innovative new servicing initiatives announced ahead of the car’s public launch on April 8 1999.
