The team of eight wheelchair ramblers from around the country arrived exhausted yet jubilant at the finish line of the week-long Toyota 100-mile Endurance Ramble from Bath to Maidenhead across the rugged Ridgeway.
The New Toyota Yaris has been declared the best small car in the AA/Good Housekeeping Woman-Friendly Car Awards. It was praised for its low cost of running, high level of standard equipment and nippy performance.
Toyota is the first manufacturer to sponsor a team of wheelchair bound ramblers from around the country when they trek from Bath to Maidenhead next month (6 –11 September 1999) across the rugged Ridgeway.
Joining the successful 67bhp 1.0-litre VVT-i Yaris introduced on 8 April this year, a bigger-engined 1.3-litre version will be made available in the UK from October after a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 14 September.
