Charles Holcomb

Head of PR and Communications

Charlie Holcomb took the helm of the PR department in April 2024, bringing with him a wealth of product and corporate knowledge gathered in a career spanning more than 15 years with Toyota (GB). While his primary responsibilities are management and planning, he’s on hand to help with media enquiries when any of the team specialists are otherwise engaged.

David Rogers

Manager, Press Office and Media Relations

David joined Toyota after leading PR for two major motorcycle brands in the UK. Prior to those roles he headed up consumer engagement and PR activities for The Motor Ombudsman within The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), a role which gives him great insight into the wider issues affecting automotive and mobility companies.

David Crouch

Senior Press Officer

As the longest-serving member of the PR team, David is the go-to contact for information about past models as well as today’s Toyota line-up. His other specialities are business/fleet matters and the Toyota Professional range of light commercial vehicles. David also covers Toyota’s international motorsports activities, including the FIA World Endurance Championship, World Rally Championship and World Rally-Raid Championship.

Graham Bothamley

Manager, Press Fleet

Graham oversees one of the largest fleets of press vehicles in the country and is the primary contact for media interested in driving our current and heritage models. Located at our new Media Experience Centre near Gatwick, he manages the bookings and scheduling for all fleet loans, ensuring exceptional service standards for press and media requests.

Veronica Painter

PR Events Officer

Veronica is a familiar, smiling face in the world of automotive PR with more than 20 years’ experience to her credit. Her new role as PR Events Officer sees her applying her famous efficiency, can-do attitude and good humour to help co-ordinate all the complex elements of product launches and events, supporting PR Operations Manager Kerry Sainsbury. 

Emma Smith

Press Office Co-ordinator

Since joining the team as office co-ordinator in 2021, Emma has quickly discovered how 12 years working with youngsters in schools was perfect preparation for day-to-day organisation of the PR team. While applying meticulous organisational skills to keep the department running smoothly, she’s also enjoying her introduction to the world of cars and the media.  

Rosemary Parkin

Press Assistant

Rosie has joined us following the second year of her degree course at Durham University. Since starting in July 2024, she has been supporting the team with a myriad of tasks in the PR department and learning who does what, what goes where and when.

Nicole Chappell

Facilities Manager – Media Experience Centre

Nicole is responsible for managing the facilities and enquiries at our new state-of-the-art Media Experience Centre near Gatwick. This cutting-edge facility houses our press fleet, photo shoot areas and meeting rooms, which are available for hire, catering to any media or team requiring these new facilities for their next event.

Courtney Scott joined the team as its new Operations Manager in late summer 2024, providing maternity cover for Kerry Sainsbury.  

She has taken up the reins to lead organisation of our busy schedule of national and international media launches and events, supported by Veronica Painter, PR Events Officer, and Emma Smith, Press Office Co-ordinator, and reporting to Charlie Holcomb, Head of PR.  

 She is also leading Toyota’s delivery of the Media Experience Centre, a new, multi-discipline functions and creative brand facility that is also the new home of our extensive press and heritage vehicle fleets.
