Toyota Hiace – Grade Revision For 2004
From 1 September the Hiace will be available in new specification 280 standard wheelbase and 300 long wheelbase entry grades, replacing the outgoing S and SE models. Designed to simplify the grade and pricing structure the 280 will add more equipment as standard over the outgoing S.
Key features of the new 280 entry grade are:
- Replacement of two swing rear doors with one rear tailgate door
- Addition of central storage box and clipboard
- Addition of power central door locking
- Cloth seat trim replacing vinyl
- Available in new colour, Crystal Silver
- Introduction of a Toyota radio cassette to entry and GS model
In standard wheelbase, the model line-up starts with the Hiace 280 available with 88bhp 2.5-litre D-4D common rail turbo diesel engine at £11,985 (basic retail plus VAT). The 280GS is available with both 88 and 102bhp engine, with the 280 GS Extra available with the 102bhp option.
Pricing has been simplified, with an increase of £1,500 (basic retail plus VAT) from standard wheelbase to long wheelbase. The 300 entry grade is available at £13,485 basic.
Options are available to suit individual needs including full plywood lining at £140 (excluding VAT) as well as DVD based turn-by-turn Pan European satellite navigation for £1,235 (excluding VAT).
Crystal Silver (metallic) paint is now available across the Hiace range with Astral Black being added to the GS and GS Xtra models. These are available at £250 plus VAT.
