Toyota ushers in 2005 with new special edition Corolla models that deliver great style and value. The new Corolla Colour Collection boasts a high equipment specification, excellent performance from a choice of petrol or diesel engines yet represents a customer saving of £1,725.

The new models, on sale from 1 January, are based on the sporty Corolla T3 grade and are finished in a smart Silver Steel metallic paint finish. Three and five-door, saloon and estate versions are available with a choice of 1.4 and 1.6 VVT-i petrol or 2.0 D-4D diesel power, according to body style. The prices include the metallic paint finish and range from £10,995 for the 1.4 VVT-i three-door model to £14,495 for the 2.0 D-4D estate.

Key features of the Colour Collection specification include driver, front passenger, front side and curtain airbags; ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD); a four-speaker sound system with CD player; air conditioning; electric windows and door mirrors; front fog lamps and 15-inch alloy wheels.

In addition, the hatchback models enjoy extra sporting style with a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearshift, carbon fibre-style trim details, ancillary audio controls mounted on the steering wheel, side skirts and a rear air dam.

As a final detail, a Colour Collection badge on the rear denotes the cars’ special status.
