Toyota’s Colour Collection: The Cool Summer Shades

Seasonal enhancements for special Corolla and Avensis models

Toyota’s Colour Collection special edition models are blooming this summer with the benefit of a few simple but attractive changes.

The Corolla Collection is available from 1 July in Silver Steel and Ixion Blue, metallic paint finishes that are provided at no additional cost to the customer. Ixion Blue cars come with the added bonus of new Sandu design six-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels.

Three and five-door hatchback, saloon and estate body styles are on offer with a choice of 1.4 and 1.6 VVT-i petrol and 1.4 and 2.0 D-4D diesel engines. On-the-road prices range from £10,995 for the 1.4 VVT-i three-door model, to £14,495 for the estate with the 2.0 D-4D engine.

With a specification that matches the regular Corolla T3 models, the Colour Collection offers a saving of £1,400.

Key standard features on the Corolla Colour Collection include air conditioning, front fog lamps, colour-keyed electrically adjustable door mirrors and front, front side and (except on estate models) curtain airbags.

From 1 July a new metallic body colour is on offer for the Avensis Colour Collection range with Eclipse Black joining Silver Steel, Carlo Blue and Silver Fern. As with the Corolla Colour Collection, the metallic finishes, worth £325, are provided at no extra cost.

Based on the T2 Avensis grade, the Colour Collection comes equipped with colour-matched bumpers, mirrors and door handles, an eight-speaker sound system with CD player, air conditioning, trip computer, multi-adjustable front seats, remote central double locking with alarm and steering column adjustable for reach and rake. A suite of nine airbags is provided, including a driver’s knee airbag, contributing to the Avensis’s top five-star rating for passenger crash protection from Euro NCAP.

Saloon, hatchback and tourer body styles are on offer, with 1.8 VVT-i petrol or 2.0 D-4D diesel power. On-the-road prices are unchanged, starting at £13,995 for the 1.8-litre saloon and hatchback models.
