Simon Weston, Falklands War Veteran, To Join Toyota On Its Biggest Stand Ever At The Mobility Roadshow 2003

10 April 2003

Simon Weston OBE, Falklands War veteran, will join Toyota on its biggest stand ever at the Mobility Roadshow for the third consecutive year on 12 June 2003 at Donington Park. Simon will be available to discuss with visitors how disability need be no bar to mobility and independence.

Toyota presents a wide range line-up at the Mobility Roadshow 2003. New swivel seat options will be available for visitors to view for the first time in the Toyota Yaris and Yaris Verso. Visitors can also see the new Avensis, the popular Corolla, and MPV models Corolla Verso, Avensis Verso and Previa.

Toyota has a strong ride and drive line-up this year with the new Avensis, the new Yaris model for 2003, Yaris Verso, Corolla, Corolla Verso, RAV4, and Previa for visitors to test drive during the show on Donington Park’s race circuit.

Celebrating European Year of Disabled People, the Mobility Roadshow 2003 promises to be a bumper event, offering visitors the widest possible range of products and services to see and try out. Whatever your mobility problem, the Mobility Roadshow is the single most useful event you can visit in 2003. For more information about the Mobility Roadshow visit www.justmobility.com.

“The Mobility Roadshow aims to give anyone with a mobility problem the chance to see what is available to help solve that problem and – most importantly – evaluate the options. Visitors will also be given the unique opportunity to test drive adapted vehicles available within the Toyota range,” comments Jon Pollock, General Manager for Toyota Fleet.

“The extensive Toyota Mobility range demonstrates Toyota’s commitment to encourage disabled people to make the most of the opportunities available to them in their career, leisure and practical living pursuits.”

Simon explains the value of the show: “The provision of a car can provide the utmost joy to people who would otherwise feel isolated. Often people have to buy and adapt a car before they can actually test it. At Mobility Roadshow visitors can test drive adapted vehicles and get the thrill of driving round the circuit.”

Toyota models available under the Motability scheme include the popular Yaris supermini, Yaris Verso mini-MPV as well as the Corolla and Corolla Verso MPV.

Toyota is committed to a continuing programme of developing vehicles with user-friendly features and the capability for adaptation where required – and to making those vehicles readily available to everyone.

More customer information on the Toyota Motability scheme is available from local Toyotadealerships, the Toyota Call Centre on 0845 275 5555 or the Toyotawebsite www.toyota.co.uk.

Motability Contract Hire includes the cost of routine servicing and maintenance and fully comprehensive insurance, both for three years, and RAC Membership including comprehensive Roadside Assistance package and Home Start and loss of use cover for the hire period. Under the HP scheme there is no limit to mileage or to the type of adaptations that can be fitted, and RAC membership with comprehensive Roadside Assistance and Home Start is included for one year.
