GAZOO Racing Toyota 86
Two Toyota 86 (as the GT86 is known inJapan) were entered by GAZOO Racing in the 40th Nürburgring 24-hour endurance race in May 2012.
One finished first in the SP3 class and 46th overall out of the 169 cars that start the race, the other sixth in class and 65th overall.
The main objective of GAZOO Racing’s participation in the 24-hour race is to learn, develop and subsequently improve the cars.
The race car is fitted with safety elements required for competition, including a roll cage and a special fuel tank. It also has a number of additional aerodynamic features to aid handling at prolonged high speeds.
At this year’s Nürburgring race the GAZOO Racing team for theToyota86 included manyToyotaemployees, including the lead driver, giving them the chance to learn and develop for the future through the experience of working at the race
