Toyota Touch 2 Made Simple With New How-To Videos
The new generation of Toyota Touch 2 multimedia and navigation systems offer easy access to an even greater range of functions, online services and route planning options. You don’t have to be a technical genius to understand and operate the touchscreen-controlled equipment, but Toyota knows that it can be a challenge for customers unfamiliar with some of the language.
Toyota Touch 2 is being rolled out in all new Toyota models, as an upgrade to the original Toyota Touch technology. It provides new and improved functions and a sharper, more informative display screen.
To help ensure everyone can make the most of what their system has to offer, Toyota has produced a series of “how to” videos that cover everything from pairing your mobile phone for hands-free Bluetooth calls, music streaming and internet access, to setting up an online account and installing handy applications.
Each video takes a step-by-step approach, describing and showing each command or action in sequence to complete the task. It’s the equivalent of having an expert on hand, who you can consult as many times as you want, whenever you want.
David Hilbert, General Manager, Toyota Vehicle Marketing, said: “We want all our customers to be able to enjoy the full benefits of Toyota Touch 2, taking in anything from being able to listen to their favourite tracks direct from their phone, to downloading and using apps that can add extra dimensions of information and local area intelligence to their route planning.
“The technology is designed to be easy and intuitive to use, but we appreciate that for some customers, taking the initial step to set things up and get going can be daunting. We’re sure being able to see on screen exactly how it’s done will be even more helpful for some than words-on-a-page descriptions.”
