Toyota Launches Satellite Navigation On CV Range
For the first time Toyota is offering its acclaimed Turn by Turn Satellite Navigation System on the 2002 model year Hiace van. This system is integrated into the facia and features both audio and visual display and voice prompt.
The system has been well proven in Toyota’s passenger car ranges and is standard equipment on the Toyota Avensis*, Avensis Verso GLS and Previa CDX. Toyota was the first company to standardise a satellite navigation system on a family saloon with the Toyota Avensis and the first to offer real time traffic avoidance with the introduction of ETA as standard on Avensis and optional on Corolla from January 2002.
It is ideal for commercial vehicle use, saving valuable time in guiding drivers to their destination. It is simple to operate and is extremely accurate. Business addresses, hotels, points of interest and other landmarks can be selected to improve efficiency and to save time.

*Satellite Navigation is standard on all models except S, SR and Vermont grades
Towards the end of 2002 Toyota’s unique Electronic Traffic Avoidance (ETA) product will be available on all Hiace commercial vehicles as an accessory. In the meantime the full map version of Toyota’s satellite navigation will be available on both Dyna and Hilux. The introduction of both these systems will be from the end of June 2002 priced from £1,500.
