Paralympians Visit Toyota Headquarters for Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Event

Team GB Paralympics gold medal-winning athletes Ellie Henderson and Alice Tai visited Toyota (GB)’s Surrey headquarters to support the company’s initiative to promote diversity, equality and inclusion. They were part of a distinguished group that also included Sir Philip Craven, a board member of Toyota Motor Corporation and former International Paralympics Committee Chairman, and Mike Sharrock, Chief Executive of the British Paralympic Association.

During their visit, the guests talked about the importance of equality of opportunity, changing perceptions of disability and improving accessibility for all – issues that reflect Toyota’s global commitment to providing mobility for all and to “leave no one behind.” Many of the company’s staff of more than 500 attended the event at the Great Burgh offices, which included a question-and-answer session, followed by the chance to try out activities including wheelchair basketball and hand-cycles.
