All-new Toyota C-HR to make its UK debut on a Summer Escapade tour of festivals
The all-new Toyota C-HR is making its UK debut on a Summer Escapade tour of four popular festivals, providing a public preview of the distinctive coupe-styled SUV, which goes on sale later this year.
The Toyota C-HR Summer Escapade is an immersive experience inspired by different holiday destinations. It celebrates the mould-breaking spirit of the Toyota C-HR, for a car that’s an ideal partner for the city or the countryside.
The tour opens this week at Camp Bestival at Lulworth Castle in Dorset from 27 – 30 July, then moves on to Lakefest in Herefordshire from 11 – 13 August, followed by Camp Bestival at Weston Park, Shropshire from 17 – 20 August, and finishes at Connect, Edinburgh from 25 – 27 August.
Festival visitors will have the chance to admire and explore the new Toyota C-HR inside and out, before entering a pod where they can choose either a scenic route, seaside escape, or city break-inspired experience. Each area will have a distinct theme capturing the joys of summer, combining familiar food truck and beauty bar concepts, with unconventional treats and surprises. In the seaside zone for example, you can enjoy fish and chip-flavoured donuts; in the city break zone you can enjoy a chocolate kebab, and in all areas you can inhale different aromas, such as that of a tasty picnic.
The all-new Toyota C-HR has all the flair and character to be a great companion for a summer escape. Its mould-breaking design, cutting-edge tech features and electrified driving experience keep it at the top of its game as one of the most stylish and stand-out models in its class.
Electrified driving is supported by fifth generation Toyota hybrid electric technology, developed with the company’s world-leading experience established over more than 25 years. The range offers 1.8 and 2.0-litre hybrid electric options and a new 2.0-litre plug-in hybrid version with even greater all-electric driving capabilities.
On the outside, the coupe-like styling is even sharper, with the street-stance emphasised by the option of eye-catching bi-tone paintwork. The interior has a refined, premium look and gives you options to change the mood to suit the journey with an ambient lighting system with 64 different colour options. Everyone on board can keep connected with a seamless digital user experience. Multiple connectivity options are provided, plus the latest Toyota Smart Connect+ multimedia system and a digital instrument display the driver can customise to suit their personal preferences.
The C-HR Summer Escapade will be open every day of each festival from 11:00 to 17:00 and is free for all.
