Innovate With Toyota
Leading UK logistics and property company, Innovate, has selected the Toyota Prius as the preferred choice of vehicle for its management team. Innovate Logistics has blue chip customers that include Tesco and Morrisons and pursues a positive green agenda. Its logistics fleet includes replacement vehicles that are all Euro IV compliant, and have zero ozone refrigerants.
Among the reasons for choosing the Toyota Prius was its strong environmental credentials, wide ranging equipment and convenience features and the commitment of the local dealer, John Roe Toyota, to work with its customers to best meet their individual needs.
Stephen Savage, Joint Managing Director at Innovate, said that the choice was a chance to lead by example. The first Prius purchased by the company was traded for another Prius after covering more than 100,000 trouble-free miles.
“There are several things that are key for a car to succeed in business use,” says Stephen. “It has to have an excellent Bluetooth communications system, good satellite navigation, have useable, decent performance and above all be comfortable. The Prius scores on every count.”
Innovate is one of the UK’s most environmentally-friendly companies and has been recognised with an award for the UK’s greenest office building for its development at Thorpe Park in Leeds, which is to be officially opened by David Miliband MP. The development included water recycling, various energy conservation measures and even utilised recycled materials within its construction.
The Prius range is priced from £17,765 and includes climate control, dual front and side airbags plus front and rear curtain airbags as standard.
The flagship T-Spirit Prius is priced at £20,665 and includes full colour GPS navigation system with Electronic Traffic Avoidance and voice activation, Park Assist, a premium audio system with six CD auto-changer and Bluetooth connectivity. All Prius models qualify for Band B Vehicle Excise Duty at just £15 per year thanks to the ultra low CO2 emissions of just 104g/km. The Prius is also exempt from London’s Congestion Charge.
