Legends Together – Hilux Helps Out Flying Legends Airshow
It is not often the Toyota Hilux is “out-iconed” but the Flying Legends airshow at Duxford is one such occasion.
Used to support the ground crews tending the Spitfires, Hurricanes and Mustangs at the show, the Hilux is on loan to The Fighter Collection (TFC), organisers of the show held at IWM Duxford in Cambridgeshire on 8 & 9 July.
As last year, the Hilux on duty is in a special fantasy livery which evokes the look and feel of the classic aircraft on display, right down to markings and insignia such as the famous TFC Indian Head logo.
Considered to be the biggest and best classic aviation event in the world, the 2017 edition of Flying Legends marks the 25th edition of the show which attracts huge numbers of UK and overseas visitors. Although all eyes will be on the skies above, they will see the Hilux tow aircraft, deliver starters and ground crew along the flightline to help keep the show running smoothly.
Entry to Flying Legends is by advance tickets only. Tickets can be bought from www.flyinglegends.com.
