Media Advisory: Karen Parry joins the Toyota (GB) PR team

Toyota (GB) is pleased to announce that Karen Parry has joined the Toyota and Lexus press and public relations team. Karen, one of the most experienced and well-known automotive PR professionals, takes up her duties today as Media Relations Manager. 

Karen is the new lead contact for all matters concerning the Lexus brand. She will be working alongside the established team of David Rogers, Manager, Press Office and Media Relations; Kerry Sainsbury, PR Operations Manager; David Crouch, Senior Press Officer; and Graham Bothamley, Press Fleet Manager. She will also be liaising closely on Lexus lifestyle activities with Annabel Hillary, the team’s lifestyle media relations specialist. 

Her new appointment brings Karen’s career full circle, her first automotive role having been as a junior member of the company’s sales team. “It was there that I caught the car bug, and I’ve never lost it,” said Karen, recalling also being in the team meeting when it was announced the Lexus brand would be launched in the UK. “For my next steps, I’m very much looking forward to joining and working alongside such an established and well-respected team, helping launch exciting new products at such a pivotal time for the automotive sector.” 

Now in her fourth decade in the industry, Karen has held leading roles with major manufacturers, consultancies and industry organisations, including Jaguar Land Rover, Honda, Volvo and the SMMT. 

Karen joins the team at a key time for Lexus, following the recent introduction of the RZ 450e, brand’s first purpose-designed BEV, and the world premiere of the all-new LBX, a compact SUV that will take the company into completely new market territory.
