- All Yaris models now have ABS with EBD as standard
- Entry level 1.0-litre S model remains at £6,995

- Air Conditioning replaces sunroof on GLS
- 1.3-litre CDX models decrease in price by £300
On sale now are the latest 2001 model Yaris models that offer even more specification and value for money than before. The class-leading Yaris has redefined expectations in the supermini segment and delights its customers on every count with its innovative styling, spacious interior layout and flexible VVT-i engines.
The most significant change to the Yaris range is the addition of ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution) on all models as standard equipment. EBD in conjunction with ABS monitors front and rear braking distribution depending on conditions and also helps control forces of left and right wheels during cornering braking, helping to maintain stabiliity. Having achieved four stars as the safest supermini tested in the Euro-NCAP independent crash tests last year, Yaris is now safer than ever.
Even with ABS, the entry level 1.0-litre S remains at £6,995 and now has the option of power assisted steering for a nominal £200 extra, taking the price to a still highly competitive £7,195 on the road.
The GS models starting at £8,195 for the three door now has cloth door inserts as standard rather than vinyl and features three rear head restraints for improved passenger safety.
The GLS models, starting at £9,195 for the three-door, are fitted with air conditioning instead of a manual sunroof that has now been deleted. The 1.0-litre GLS models now also feature double locking for enhanced security.
The 1.0-litre CDX models, starting at £10,695, have double locking as standard and all CDX models are now fitted with a leather steering wheel as standard.
The sporty SR model retains its chrome exhaust finisher but the sports exhaust has been deleted. The sports exhaust will be available on the new Yaris T Sport model on sale in April.
GS, GLS and 1.0-litre CDX models have increased in price by only £200 as a result of this increased specification. S without the power steering option and SR remain at the same price and CDX 1.3-litre models actually decrease in price by £300 representing exceptional value.
These realigned prices take into account the graduated vehicle excise duty (VED) effective from 1 March. Most Yaris models have a CO2 figure of below 150 g/km and therefore qualify for an annual VED fee of £100. The 1.3-litre automatic and new high performance 1.5-litre T Sport models have a slightly higher CO2 figure but will cost only £20 more per year.
