New Camry Wins Executive Insurance Battle
The new Toyota Camry has already impressed the insurance industry, which has awarded the new executive car best in class insurance group ratings. That means lower insurance costs and consequently lower running costs for drivers of the new Camry when it hits the UK streets in November.
The actual groups are:
- Camry 2.4 VVTi – 12E (12A for previous model)
- Camry 3.0 V6 – 13E (14A for previous model)
The new Camry has achieved these low ratings thanks to a combination of Toyota’s award-winning standard anti-theft features and low-cost crash repair parts despite a larger, more powerful four-cylinder engine (2.4-litre replaces the 2.2-litre). The new V6 3.0-litre is one group lower.
Compared to the competition:
- Toyota Camry 2.4 – 12E
- Vauxhall Omega 2.2 – 13E
- Peugeot 607 – 16P
- Toyota Camry 3.0 – 13E
- Vauxhall Omega 3.2 V6 – 16A
- Peugeot 607 3.0 V6 – 18P
The new Camry goes on sale in the UK in November and the price ranges from £19,495 to £25,495.
