New National Leasing & Rental Manager For Toyota Fleet
Newly responsible for leasing and rental for Toyota Fleet is Tim Copland 34, who takes on the role as the company’s new National Leasing & Rental Manager. Tim will manage, co-ordinate and develop Toyota sales performance in the contract hire and rental sectors with the help of a team of three. Also as part of his remit Tim holds responsibility for Motability matters and Special Sales, which covers exports and employee purchases.
Born and raised in Baildon, West Yorkshire, Tim’s early interest in cars was enhanced by extensive continental travel as a child and a teenager. After gaining a degree in Business Studies at Aston University, Tim’s first job was with Rover Cars, which he joined as a commercial graduate trainee. He enjoys the business of building and maintaining customer relationships, “the human side” of the job, and says that the most exciting aspect of the motor industry is its people, customers and manufacturers alike, “and the rate of change in vehicles themselves.”
“Toyota leads on reliability and durability and has made considerable progress in brand perception over the past two years, particularly with the new Corolla,” he says. “Desirability of the brand is on the increase, and the new Avensis will be a major step forward.
