Scottish Motor Trader Wins a New Toyota
Scottish independent motor traders James Conn have proved the worth of purchasing genuine Toyota parts from their local Toyota dealer by winning a new car in a prize draw run by Toyota (GB) Ltd.
The lucky recipients of a new Toyota Avensis were Raymond Hudson and brother Douglas who are responsible for their company’s annual purchase of over £6000 worth of parts from local Toyota dealer Arnold Clark Aberdeen.
The prize draw forms part of Toyota (GB) Ltd’s Parts Express Club, which encourages non-franchised motor traders to purchase genuine Toyota parts from their local Toyota dealer. Fitting such parts enhances a vehicle’s residual value, ensures safety and means more of the UK’s 700,000-plus Toyotas are fitted with genuine parts. Research has also shown that customers of non-franchised motor traders prefer to buy top quality genuine Toyota parts.
Winner Raymond received his Chianti red Toyota Avensis 1.8 GS liftback worth £15,290 at Arnold Clark’s East Tullos Aberdeen site. On hand to present the keys was Nick Bradbury, Manager, After Sales Communications at Toyota (GB) Ltd and Arnold Clark’s delighted Parts Manager, Gary Paul, who was particularly pleased to see one of his clients win the top prize. Also present was David Murdoch, Arnold Clark’s Group Parts Marketing Manager and Steve Wallace, Parts Representative.
Aside from the top prize, the Toyota Parts Express Club ensures most participants don’t go away empty handed. After a qualifying £100 spend on parts, every £50 a trader subsequently spends with a Toyota dealer guarantees an entry in a quarterly regional prize draw.
In each of Toyota’s 13 regional sales zones runners-up won retail vouchers to the value of £1000 per region while the Toyota Parts Express National Go-Karting Challenge was held throughout 1998.
