Total Security Adds Toyota C-HR to its Vehicle Fleet
TSS (Total Security Services) Ltd, the UK’s leading retail security specialist, is replacing the diesel models in its vehicle fleet with 70 self-charging hybrid electric Toyota C-HR crossovers.
The new Toyotas will be used by the company’s area managers, who are field based. As well as the clean and efficient performance of the hybrid system, the quality and styling of the Toyota C-HR were further considerations that prompted TSS to choose Toyota C-HR for its fleet, reinforcing its professional image when visiting customers and employees.
Jamie Caplin, TSS Finance Director, said: “As we invest in our national infrastructure, it is vital that our vehicle fleet continues to meet our business requirements. The main benefits of the [Toyota] C-HR for us are the additional safety technology, comfort features, economic feasibility and environmentally friendly technical specification, which contributes to reducing our carbon footprint.
“We were very impressed that the emissions are 87g/km of CO2, a figure which ensures a lower Benefit-in-Kind tax rate for our own people. This along with the high specifications of the vehicles which include features such as a Blind Spot Monitor, Parking Sensors with Park Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Lane Departure Alert will help to make journeys for our area managers both safer and more comfortable. The Toyota Touch 2 with Go also provides online services and satellite navigation which is highly beneficial for our field team to help with dynamic journey planning, which in turn supports our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.”
The fleet of Toyota C-HR are all finished in Eclipse Black and are top-of-the-range Excel grade models. They have been supplied through Hills Toyota in Woodford, Essex, which has a successful and long-standing business relationship with TSS.
The stylish Toyota C-HR, Toyota’s first model in the crossover C-segment has proved highly popular with both retail and business customers alike. The 1.8-litre hybrid electric version is the most popular choice, commanding 78 per cent of sales in the year to date.
