Toyota announces equipment specifications and prices for the new Aygo X Hybrid
Toyota today announces prices and specification details of the new Aygo X Hybrid, the latest evolution of its hugely successful Aygo small car which will be available to order from 1 December. On-the-road prices are from £21,595 and customer deliveries are scheduled to start from January 2026.
The model becomes Toyota’s smallest hybrid vehicle yet, introducing the technology to the city car A-segment for the first time. The Aygo X Hybrid combines high efficiency, delivering the lowest CO2 emissions – 87g/km – than any non-plug-in vehicle and up to 74.3mpg (WLTP combined cycle), with a genuine fun-to-drive character. The car’s dynamic edge is reflected in the inclusion of a new GR Sport version in the model line-up.
All versions use the same 114bhp (116 DIN hp) hybrid powertrain, offering 43bhp (44 DIN hp) more than Aygo X’s previous three-cylinder petrol engine. As a full hybrid, the car will run in all-electric EV mode whenever possible, allowing for easy, emissions-free motoring in urban driving.
Four model grades
The Aygo X Hybrid is introduced with four equipment grades, starting with the Icon model. This extends the current Aygo X’s specification with machined-finish 17-inch alloy wheels, a larger, seven-inch driver’s combimeter, automatic air conditioning, a new seat upholstery made from recycled materials and two USB-C ports. The Toyota Safety Sense package of active safety and driving assistance features includes new Full Range Adaptive Cruise Control, Emergency Driving Stop System, Proactive Driving Assist and enhanced Pre-Collision System, Lane Trace Assist and Road Sign Assist. A multimedia system with nine-inch touchscreen is also provided and customers can also add an optional Convenience Pack introduces push-button start, front fog lights, a wireless device charger and auto-retracting heated door mirrors.
The Design version adds new-design black/machined-finish 18-inch alloys, LED headlights, push-button start, wireless device charger, new fabric upholstery with contrast X-pattern embroidery and piping, auto-retracting heated door mirrors, electronic parking brake and additional noise measures to reduce noise in the cabin. A choice of four metallic bi-tone paint finishes is also included while a Parking Pack option adds Smart Entry and front and rear parking sensors.
The Excel specification introduces the 10.5-inch Smart Connect multimedia system, front and rear parking sensors, Smart Entry, a perforated upholstery fabric – again made from recycled materials – and heated front seats. The Premium Pack option provides a JBL premium audio system and retracting canvas roof.
The new GR Sport model benefits from sports-tuned suspension and GR-Sport dedicated 18-inch alloy wheels, seat upholstery and interior and exterior design details. The bi-tone paint finish is extended to include a black bonnet.
