Toyota Announces New General Manager for Toyota Fleet
Toyota GB PLC has appointed Jon Pollock as new General Manager, Toyota Fleet following Mark Hall’s recent appointment as General Manager, Communications.
Jon joins Toyota from Nissan where he held various senior management positions including Fleet Sales Operations Manager, Product and Market Planning Manager as well as Re-marketing and Fleet Manager.
Taking up his new role on 22 January 2001, Jon will be responsible for all aspects of Fleet Sales and Marketing including Motability, tax-free sales and export sales. Reporting to Tony Whitehorn, Sales Director, Jon will manage a dedicated National Fleet sales force for targeting large fleets and a dedicated field team targeting the sub-100 fleet sector. His remit will also include the Contract Hire and Leasing team.
Jon comments: “I am very much looking forward to joining Toyota Fleet during this challenging time in the fleet market. Toyota’s wide range of products, excellent sales and aftersales support offer fantastic opportunities for expansion in the fleet market in 2001.”
Throughout 2001 Toyota Fleet will focus on the price re-aligned Avensis with satellite navigation as a strong proposition to Fleet buyers in the upper medium sector. The introduction of further D-4D models such as Previa and RAV4 will broaden the appeal for diesel buyers in the fleet sector.
Tony Whitehorn added: “I am confident Toyota will benefit from Jon’s considerable knowledge and experience of the Fleet industry.”
