Toyota Crafts Heritage Parts for Classic Sports Cars
Toyota Gazoo Racing’s GR Heritage Parts Project is making more components available to help classic Toyota Supra owners keep their cars in perfect shape.
The initiative to reproduce genuine parts demonstrates the breadth of the organisation’s work to celebrate the joy of driving, from world championship-winning race and rally competition and a new generation of Toyota GR sports cars, to building a worldwide following of fans and car enthusiasts.
Its recent success, supporting Toyota’s development of the GR Supra and GR Yaris, is set to continue with the all-new GR 86 ready to complete a “power of three” trio of performance models. The new coupe will have its world dynamic debut in the UK, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (8-11 July).
First launched in early 2020, the heritage project works with selected suppliers to craft replacement parts which are then made available as genuine Toyota items through national retail networks in Europe, North America and Japan.
The latest inventory includes mechanical parts, such as clutch components, and bodywork and trim elements, including badges, for the Supra A70 (1986-1993) and A80 (1993-2002). These will be offered when available, from July 2021, with details published on the Toyota Gazoo Racing website at https://toyotagazooracing.com/gr/heritage. Production volume will be limited, so parts will only be available as long as stocks last.
