Toyota GB Creates New Communications Role
Toyota GB has created the new senior management role of General Manager, Communications within the Marketing division to oversee all Toyota advertising, direct marketing and promotions, new media, customer relationship marketing and after sales communications. Taking up this new role from January 1st 2001 will be Mark Hall, Toyota’s former General Manager, Fleet Sales.
Reporting to Paul Philpott, Marketing Director, Mark will focus on bringing together all communications to support Toyota’s long term objective to build on the brand’s emotional and aspirational appeal.
Mark has been with Toyota GB for nearly 12 years and has broad experience of the companys operations from his previous roles as an Area Sales Manager, Fleet Marketing Manager and more recently as General Manager for Fleet Sales.
Mark comments: “I am very much looking forward to playing a key role in Toyota’s marketing team. Frequent face to face customer contact with Toyota Fleet customers has given me an invaluable insight into how the brand is currently perceived and I am very excited to have the opportunity to use that knowledge in the development of our brand through communications”
Paul Philpott added: “I am delighted that Mark is joining the marketing team next year. This completes a restructuring of the Marketing team in Toyota which has also seen the appointment of Matt Harrison as General Manager, Vehicle Marketing. I believe we now have the strongest marketing team in the industry”
