Toyota (GB) Director Paula Cooper Honoured in the Automotive 30% Club Inspiring Women Awards
Paula Cooper, Toyota (GB) ConsumerOne Director, has been named as a winner in the Inspiring Women Awards 2020.
The awards are presented by the UK Automotive 30% Club, a voluntary group of automotive business leaders, which seeks to improve the gender balance in the auto industry. The awards recognise female talent in the sector and raise awareness of the career opportunities available to them. An independent judging panel selected 31 winners from women nominated by colleagues and peers.
Paula Cooper, who sits on Toyota GB’s board of directors, was selected for leading by example, showing women within Toyota that they can progress to senior positions. She has played a leading role in achieving big changes within the customer insights division, ConsumerOne, and across Toyota as it transforms to a mobility company. She is also a coach and mentor to a number of women within the company.
Julia Muir, CEO Gaia Innovation, and Founder of the Automotive 30% Club commented:
“We have heard wonderful uplifting stories of how all these amazing women have not only added significant value to their businesses, but are also encouraging others to improve and progress, or giving much-needed support to their team members through the unsettling impact of the pandemic. They are involved in creating inclusive environments and are engaged in activities to show that automotive is a positive career choice for women. They are lifting other women as they rise, and, as per the motto of the suffragette movement, they are taking real action with ’deeds not words‘. All these fabulous women deserve our heartfelt
appreciation for their outstanding contribution to making our industry more vibrant, exciting, warm, collaborative and successful. I’d like to say special congratulations to all of our winners on their thoroughly deserved awards, and for being a Game Changer in the automotive sector.”
