Toyota Goes Back To School
Burgh Heath based company Toyota (GB) PLC is supporting The Children’s Trust Schools Concert 2002 on Saturday 9 March, 7.30pm at the Epsom Playhouse. Eleven schools will take part playing a variety of musical styles to help raise funds in support of The Children’s Trust in Tadworth.
Money raised from the Schools Concert will go towards vital care, therapy, rehabilitation and education services. The Children’s Trust supports around 70 children with profound disabilities and very complex medical needs. These children may have been born with a disability or become suddenly disabled as a result of a tragic accident or illness.
“Children all over the UK benefit from The Children’s Trust and they deserve the very best possible care,” commented Graham Smith, Managing Director for Toyota (GB) PLC.
“The charity relies on the help and support of the local community, especially local schools whose fundraising efforts provide an invaluable lifeline. The Schools Concert performance sees the culmination of many people’s hard work, and I hope that as many people as possible will attend the concert in support of The Children’s Trust.”
In the UK Toyota offers particular support to child and youth education, previously with the £1.25 million Science and Technology Education Fund. Toyota (GB) PLC also continues to support an important RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) programme called S’Cool To Be Safe in partnership with Toyota Manufacturing in Derbyshire.
