Toyota launches GR Supra manual sales with Goodwood Festival of Speed debut and Special Edition model
UK sales of the new Toyota GR Supra with manual transmission begin today, coinciding the with the new coupe’s dynamic UK debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The occasion is also being marked with the release of a Special Edition model – as shown at Goodwood – featuring a Matt White paint finish and a tan leather interior with black accents.
Customers can purchase the GR Supra manual, the latest addition to Toyota’s GR range of pure-bred sports cars online at www.toyota.co.uk.
Toyota ambassadors will also be present throughout the festival (23 to 26 June) to answer questions and guide people through the sales process on the spot so that when seeing the car in the metal for the first time, they can place their order there and then.
Customers can also visit their local Toyota showroom to initiate an online purchase, or they can use their own smartphone, tablet or computer. Sales through the Toyota national retail network will open on 27 June.
Toyota has engineered a dedicated six-speed gearbox and a new clutch for the GR Supra’s 335bhp turbocharged straight-six engine, a move that is certain to please purists who value the special driving experience that comes with a manual transmission. Its introduction means each model in Toyota’s “power of three” line-up of GR models – GR Supra, the new GR86 coupe and World Rally-bred GR Yaris – is available with a stick-shift.
There are two manual models, in standard GR Supra and “Pro” equipment specifications, plus the Special Edition version as displayed at Goodwood. They join the 2.0 and 3.0-litre automatic versions in the range, as detailed below.

Key equipment features include a 10-speaker sound system, Alcantara seat upholstery, cruise control and front and rear parking sensors.
The Pro version adds features including power-adjustable seats with leather upholstery, a 12-speaker JBL audio package, head-up display and LED dual-beam headlights.
