TOYOTA PRODUCT

Yaris latest

The Toyota Yaris hatchback range has been refreshed for 2025. The principal change is the introduction of the more powerful 128bhp 1.5-litre hybrid as the standard powertrain for the Excel grade model. The Excel equipment specification further adds new-design 17-inch alloy wheels with a black/machined face finish.

At the top of the range, the Yaris GR Sport features new GR embossed logos on the front head rests and a wireless smartphone charger as standard. It also has new-look wheels – 18-inch machined-face rims.

Meanwhile, away from the UK market – and not destined to be sold here – Toyota has announced an evolution version of the multi-award-winning GR Yaris.

Orange arrival

The Toyota C-HR has added a new top-of-the range model for 2025. The Orange Edition is a high-specification version of the coupe-styled SUV, available with both full hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Read more here.

Hybrid Hilux is here

The Toyota Hilux is available with its first electrified powertrain. The Hilux Hybrid 48V uses a mild hybrid system that makes for smoother and quieter performance on and off-road, with no compromise in the pick-up’s formidable all-terrain abilities. Read more here.

BEVs revealed

Toyota has revealed details of two further battery electric models that will join the all-new Urban Cruiser to create comprehensive coverage of the key BEV market segments. The compact Urban Cruiser will be joined by the all-new Toyota C-HR+ and a significantly updated bZ4X model. Read more here and here.

TOYOTA CORPORATE

Toyota “circular factory” to open in the UK

Toyota is to open the first Toyota Circular Factory at its Burnaston plant in Derbyshire. The new operation is designed to maximise environmental benefit opportunities in the processes for end-of-life vehicle disposal, with a focus on recycling, repurposing and remanufacturing parts and materials. Work will commence later this year, and the factory will serve as a centre of excellence for future Toyota recycling operations worldwide. Read more here.

Toyota funds All Stars Cricket for kids

Toyota has become the first official partner of All Stars Cricket, investing £800,000 in the England and Wales Cricket Board’s eight-week programme over four years to help introduce the sport to young children. This year alone, the funds will allow up to 4,000 children enjoy free access to the All Stars activities. Read more here.

Supporting the MND Association

Toyota has extended is charity partnership with the MND Association for a further two years, having successfully raised more than half a million pounds to help the organisation in its work supporting people suffering with motor neurone disease. Read more here.

Toyota reaffirms its technology strategy

Toyota has reaffirmed its commitment to a multi-pathway technology strategy towards carbon neutrality and to customer-focused innovation with plans to introduce models with a variety of electrified powertrains and continued research and development of hydrogen power and carbon-neutral fuels. Technology dreams

The Toyota Engineering Society gives Toyota members the opportunities to explore mobility concepts without boundaries. The scope of their work – outside their regular duties – can be witnessed in the Toyota Miraidon, a spherical mobility device to transport people inside a transparent capsule. Read more here.

Building a hydrogen society

Toyota is working with the Fukushima prefecture in Japan to explore how the region, devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, can use hydrogen as an environmentally efficient power source. The Hydrogen Town Concept is part of a plan to help eliminate nuclear power. Read more here.
