Toyota S-FR breaks cover as Tokyo track car
Toyota’s compact S-FR rear-wheel drive sports car was one of the big talking points among the new concepts at the Tokyo motor show. Now the model has been given a meaner look in full racing guise courtesy of Toyota Gazoo Racing at this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon. Read more here.
Toyota signs up as global Paralympic partner
Toyota has signed up with the International Paralympic Committee to serve as a Worldwide Paralympic Partner through to 2024, a period that includes the Tokyo Paralympic Games.. Read more here.
New Toyota Proace due in 2016
Toyota and PSA Peugeot Citroen have announced they are to continue to work together on the development of new LCVs, with the prospect of new vans for all three brands being introduced next year. Read more here.
Customer number one million please
Toyota has rewarded its one millionth European hybrid customer with…another hybrid car. Victor Dugonics, from Düsseldorf, has been given a second Auris Hybrid free of charge for one year, to mark his landmark purchase. Customers like Victor are helping take Toyota hybrid sales above 200,000 units in Europe this year. Read more here.
Paris previews for Toyota hybrids
Two new Toyota hybrids are being preview in Paris at Le Rendez-Vous Toyota on the Champs Elysées. The new models, both due on the road early in 2016, form part of a new sustainable mobility exhibition at the venue, appearing alongside the Mirai hydrogen fuel cell saloon and the compact all-electric i-ROAD and COMS, currently taking part in an integrated transport pilot project in Grenoble.
