Toyota Gazoo Racing battled through snow and hail at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit to clinch the World Endurance Championship teams’ title for 2018-2019. The hard-fought win sealed the success with one race – the Le Mans 24 Hours – still to run. Read more here. Looking further ahead, the team have announced Canadian driver Brendon Hartley will join them for the 2019-2020 season, replacing Fernando Alonso. Read more here.
Revealed: the new Toyota Proace City
Toyota revealed its new Proace City compact van at the Commercial Vehicle Show and released more details about this flexible and highly specified addition to its successful LCV line-up. Prius perfection
The Toyota Prius has seen off all comers to take the New Car of the Year title in the 2019 Auto Express Driver Power survey. Read more here.

Toyota has retained its title as Australia’s most trusted automotive company in an annual independent market survey by Catalyst. Read more here.
Multi-million fund launched for mobility start-ups
Toyota AI Ventures has launched a new $100 million fund to invest in new start-up businesses working in autonomous mobility and robotics. The new fund will build on the company’s initial support for 19 diverse start-ups since the venture capital firm was founded in Silicon Valley two years ago. Read more here.
Hydrogen-powered heavy haulage
Toyota has worked with manufacturer Kenworth to create new heavy duty trucks equipped with hydrogen fuel cells. The new generation trucks will extend the near-zero emissions freight haulage project Toyota has been involved in at the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Read more here.
Supporting arts and culture
Toyota has sealed a three-year partnership with Stellenbosch University fin South Africa to support the annual Woordfees multi-lingual arts and culture celebrations. Read more here.
Victory times six
Toyota drivers racked up an impressive six wins in top-level motorsports events in North America last weekend, with victories in NASCAR, NHRA drag racing. POWRi midget racing and ARCA stock cars.
