Toyota offers a range of car accessories to keep dogs safe and comfortable on the road
The safety and comfort of passengers has always been a key consideration in the design of Toyota cars. Now Toyota (GB) is extending this to our four-legged friends with the introduction of a range of accessories to keep dogs safe and comfortable when travelling.
The new range is produced by Thule, a leading manufacturer of premium products to safely transport pets, gear and children, and includes crates, mats, storage bags and harnesses. All items can be purchased and fitted at Toyota centres nationwide. As well as keeping pets safe on car journeys, they can also reduce driver distraction and protect the car’s interior.

Thule Allax dog crates
There is a dog crate available to fit every Toyota currently on sale in the UK. Single crates for use in the boot are available in Extra Small (XS), Small (S) and Medium (M). These have been thoroughly crash tested by Thule and feature a crumple zone to protect both passengers and dogs. Every crate has a an escape-proof lock, built-in ventilation and a soft close door. The car must be equipped with four lashing points to secure the crate and Toyota technicians can carry out the installation. RRP from £402.53.

A pair of dog leash hooks is also available to hang a lead and collar on the outside of the crate. RRP: £14.09.
Thule dog crate mat
This non-slip black silicon mat gives the dog a comfortable, stable surface inside the crate. It comes in one size and is easy to trim for the perfect fit. RRP: £35.27.
Storage bag
This practical dog crate bag with multiple pockets is designed to keep accessories such as leads, collars, treats and bowls all in one place and can be fixed to the dog crate or carried separately using the long handles. RRP: £42.34.
Cappy car harness
The Cappy car harnesses have been crash-tested to provide protection in the event of an accident. They are available in Small, Medium or Large, with adjustable straps, to suit dogs of all shapes and sizes. The seat belt slips through straps on the back of the harness, so the dog can sit or lie down comfortably on the back seat, while remaining securely fastened. RRP: from £63.53.
