Toyota Proace Proves Perfect For GCM Services
When your business works in tough environments, you need to be sure your vehicles are up to the challenge. That’s how GCM Services Scotland came to select Toyota’s Proace as robust and reliable solution for its transport needs.
GCM Services, based in Falkirk, is a specialist in demolishing and deconstructing heavy industry and petrochemical sites. Its early success in this field was recently recognised with a “best new business start-up” award in the Falkirk Herald Business Awards.
Gordon Marshall, managing director, said: “We needed vehicles that reflected the quality of our business and which delivered the right capability and reliability. The Toyota Proace fits this profile perfectly.”
The new vehicles were supplied by Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services through GCM Services local Toyota Centre, SDM of Falkirk. The long-wheelbase models have been acquired on a three-year renewal plan and have been finished in GCM Service’s corporate livery. They will be used for the company’s contracts services across the UK.
Powered by a flexible, efficient 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, the Proace medium duty van is designed for ease of use. The range provides two vehicle lengths and heights, allowing payloads of up to 1.2 tonnes to be carried. The load space, measuring up to 7m3, is easy to access through side sliding doors and choice of rear doors or tailgate. Drivers also enjoy a comfortable and safe environment, with Bluetooth, driver and passenger airbags and electric windows and door mirrors included in the standard specification.
