Toyota Professional proves perfect for Quirepace
Quirepace, one of Toyota’s longest-established UK fleet customers, has once again signalled its appreciation of the brand with a new order for Proace vans.
The Hampshire-based company, a specialist in pneumatic tube systems. established its relationship with Toyota in 2009. In the past five years alone, it has acquired more than 45 Toyota Professional light commercial vehicles.
The range of models operated by Quirepace demonstrates the value of Toyota’s multi-path strategy that offers customers – for LCVs and passenger vehicles alike – a choice of electrified powertrain options to suit their business or personal requirements. Quirepace has taken advantage of this approach to build a fleet that is helping it meet its sustainability targets and reduce its carbon footprint, without compromising its operations.
Richard Pescott, Quirepace Managing Director, said: “We have now switched all our LCVs to Toyota vehicles, with a mixture of Corolla Commercial hybrid, Proace City and Proace Max vans. Working with the fleet experts at Toyota (GB) and Snows, our local Toyota centre, have made this transition possible and we’re now pleased to say we have a fleet of Euro 6 and electric vehicles that supports our sustainability goals.”
Quirepace has a history spanning more than a century. Its activities also include the development and manufacture of British vacuum cleaners under the BVC brand. The latest additions to its vehicle fleet will be used by its engineering teams for maintaining industrial equipment across the UK.
Neil Broad, General Manager of One Toyota Fleet Services, said: “Our multi-path approach is delivering rewards for business customers who want to reduce their emissions, but cannot yet make the switch to fully electric fleet. Quirepace, one of our most loyal customers, provides a perfect example of how this breadth of choice is invaluable in building a lower emissions fleet without hindering business efficiency.”
