2009 Toyota Hiace: Cooler Than Ever
Model upgrade includes air conditioning as standard
KEY POINTS
- Versatile, flexible Hiace panel van refreshed for 2009
- Air conditioning included as standard on all models
- Improved interior with more comfortable seats, new upholstery and door trim
- Improved NVH performance
- New front grille, wheel trims and Eclipse Black metallic paint option
The Toyota Hiace is a cool prospect for 2009, newly equipped as standard with air conditioning. The upgrade is one of a range of new features for the new model year, introduced to improve comfort on board, along with new-design seats with a smart-but-tough cloth upholstery and fabric covered door panels with an integrated armrest and panel for the power window controls.
Hiace’s cabin is a quieter place to be, too, thanks to strategic use of extra sound-absorbing material throughout the vehicle that has significantly reduced noise, vibration and harshness. Window glass has been changed to reduce UV glare, the dashboard gains additional chrome detailing around the instrument meters, and an extra interior light has been added to the load area.
Exterior styling changes include a new-look front grille, extra chrome detailing for the bonnet and at the rear, and new-design wheelcovers. Eclipse Black Metallic has been added to the range of exterior colours.
The Hiace range offers a broad choice of vehicle options to suit different customer needs:
- Short and long wheelbases
- A choice of rear tailgate or twin rear doors with sliding side door
- 2,800kg SWB and 3,000kg LWB gross vehicle weights
- Maximum payloads of 1,060kg/1,050kg SWB and 1,180/1,170 LWB (4dr/5dr)
- 2.5-litre D-4D common rail diesel engine with choice of output – 94 or 115bhp (95 or 117 DIN hp)
The 2009 Toyota Hiace is on sale now, priced from £14,100 (commercial vehicle on-the-road price).
