Toyota Yaris is voted Intelligent Instructor’s Driving Instructor Car of the Year
The Toyota Yaris has been voted Intelligent Instructor’s Driving Instructor Car of the Year for the second year in succession.
The hybrid electric hatchback proved the popular choice for offering the best of both worlds: an ideal vehicle for training new drivers and a great everyday drive for instructor.
David Motton, Intelligent Instructor Road Test Editor, said: “It’s no wonder our readers voted the Toyota Yaris their Driving Instructor Car of the Year as It’s easy for provisional licence holders to drive and packed with driver aids to help keep learners and instructor safe. The Yaris is also extremely cheap to fuel, thanks to its efficient hybrid electric powertrain. It’s a car that keeps both approved driving instructors and their learners happy.”
In addition to its suitability for driver training, Yaris was recognised for its great safety provisions: the car is equipped as standard with the latest Toyota Safety Sense active safety and driver assistance systems. It’s also considered an easy car to live with for instructors who need it use it for their personal daily transport.
A new Yaris range was recently launched, introducing an additional, more powerful hybrid electric powertrain, a fully digital driver’s instrument display and the latest Toyota multimedia system with the benefit of cloud-based navigation with up-to-the-moment traffic information and wireless smartphone integration for Apple and Android devices.
