Toyota Yaris wins Best Small Fleet Car in the 2026 Great British Fleet Awards
Toyota topped the poll in the 2026 Great British Fleet Awards to win the Best Small Fleet Car title. This latest success reflects the model’s enduring quality and leadership in its market segment: the current generation Yaris was the European Car of the Year back in 2021.
Organised by Fleetworld, the honours celebrate the best products, business and services in the world of UK fleet management. Winners are selected by an independent panel of experts from Fleet World and Van Fleet World.
Announcing Yaris’s success at the awards ceremony in Milton Keynes on 16 April, Simon Harris, Fleet World Editor, said: “The Toyota Yaris comes only with a hybrid powertrain in the UK and Toyota’s hybrid expertise – after more than a quarter of a century on the market – is second to none. The Yaris is an ideal runabout, still feeling nippy in traffic, and its hybrid system relivers exceptional fuel economy.”
The UK Yaris range recently benefited from equipment upgrades for 2026, including new 17-inch alloy wheels, smart entry and start and a wireless smartphone charger for the popular Design grade model. Auto-folding door mirrors are now standard across all grades and the paint choices include a new Persian Salt metallic – also offered as a bi-tone option for the Yaris GR Sport.
