Aygo-To-Go Order For Subway® Delivery Fleet
Toyota’s nimble Aygo has a new role as the ideal snack delivery vehicle, servicing SUBWAY® customers across the West Midlands.
Panmario Bordesley Green Ltd, the company which holds the franchise for the famous SUBWAY® stores in the region, has set up a fleet of four Aygo to deliver customer orders from its store in Bordesley Green and in the near future from six other stores in the West Midlands. Each car is finished in full SUBWAY® livery, with one enjoying an extra garnish in the form of a personalised MY61NCH registration plate – celebrating the SUBWAY® six-inch Sub.
Aksar Khan, Panmario Bordesley Green director, said: “Being able to offer our customers the option to enjoy their favourite made to order Subs and Platters from the comfort of their own homes is an important next step for us. The Toyota Aygo is just the right vehicle for the job – small, economical and easy to drive through city traffic. We are also impressed by its reliability and the service we’ve received from the Vantage Toyota Birmingham dealership.”
Panmario Bordesley Green’s order, which also includes a Hilux pick-up, has been arranged with support from Toyota Financial Services and is likely to extend to further vehicles subject to the opening of new stores. The relationship between the business and Vantage Toyota developed from a networking event hosted by Birmingham’s South and City College; both businesses are active supporters of the college’s apprenticeship schemes.
Aygo’s strong appeal and competitive performance as a fleet choice reflects the model’s sustained popularity throughout its lifecycle. As Toyota approaches the launch of the second generation of its city car, the original continues to sell strongly on its established qualities of being easy to drive, characterful, robust and efficient, with exceptionally low running costs.
