New Director Appointments At Toyota GB

Darren Morris replaces Andrew Singer as Finance Director, following Andrew’s early retirement. Robin Giles takes up the post of Director of HR, Corporate Planning, CSR and Legal, following Francesco Mereu’s move to a new role with Toyota in Singapore.

Darren joined Toyota GB in 1997 from the electronics industry as manager for Treasury and tax functions, he later took on responsibility for general accounting and financial reporting.  In 2003 Darren moved to Toyota Nordic as General Manager, Finance & Accounting, responsible for the financial operations of the Toyota National Sales and Marketing Companies in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland.  Since his return to Toyota GB in 2006, Darren has held several management roles, most recently General Manager, Finance.

Robin joined Toyota (GB) in 1993, having started his career in management accounting in the retail motor industry. At Toyota GB he initially took on a number of field-based management roles including After Sales and Sales. Robin went on to become Franchise Representation Manager in 1999 and then Brand @ Retail Manager before being promoted to General Manager, Marketing Communications in 2002. From 2008 he held several General Management roles heading Environment Strategy and CSR, Corporate Planning and more recently Human Resources and Facilities.
