New Home Needed For Toyota Celebrity TV Goldfish
Toyota’s animated talking goldfish, who are the stars of the company’s advertising ‘idents’ that lead-in all ITV movie premieres and New Year TV schedules are in need of a new home in the Surrey area.
It is a little known secret that the cheeky fish, who have been the lead characters in several amusing narratives over the last two years, reside in their own pond in Toyota’s tranquil Japanese water garden at its Redhill, Surrey headquarters.
But the fish are now in need of a new home as the company finalises its plans for relocation from Redhill to a new multi-million pound, purpose-built facility in nearby Burgh Heath, Epsom, this summer.
“We’re looking for a good home for our aquatic friends in the Redhill area,” says Simon Lake, Toyota’s Facilities Manager. “Obviously, having been accustomed to a life of celebrity they will require a large aquarium filled with the finest mineral water, a personal trainer each and VIP membership to The Embassy club in Redhill.”
