Three years, three titles for Toyota Yaris in the Business Car Awards
There is no sign of the Toyota Yaris breaking its winning habit, being presented with the Best Small Car title in the Business Car Awards for a third year in succession.
Announcing the award at a presentation evening yesterday (21 September), Business Car Editor Martyn Collins said: “It seems that Yaris’s package of efficiency from its hybrid drivetrain, plus its full suite of safety systems, can’t be bettered. It also drives well, looks sharp and boasts impressive residual values.”
In the three years since the current generation Yaris was launched, it is clear no other small car can challenge its all-round qualities. For business customers, the key considerations of emissions and fuel efficiency and total ownership costs are answered by the car’s full hybrid electric powertrain and its enviable reputation for durability and reliability. In common with all Toyota passenger cars, a Toyota Safety Sense package of active safety and driver assistance systems is provided as standard on all versions.
Neil Broad, General Manager One Toyota Fleet Services, said: “Yaris continues to set the benchmark for others to aspire to in the business car market. The well-proven quality of its hybrid system means it can operate in all-electric mode in around-town driving, but still provide the flexibility of range and performance on longer journeys.”
