Toyota Beefs up for ‘The Finale!’
Toyota is proud to be the official vehicle sponsor for cricketer Ian Botham OBE’s last ever John O’Groats to Land’s End walk for charity.
‘Beefy’, as he is affectionately known to his fans, is famous for his original five-week trek across the UK in 1985, and since then he has walked over 3,380 miles and raised more than £3.3 million in aid of the Leukaemia Research Fund. This walk will be Botham’s last attempt for charity and will be known as ‘The Finale’.
Ian will be accompanied on his adventure by a Toyota Land Cruiser Amazon and Toyota Land Cruiser Colorado which are present in a supporting role. A Toyota Picnic multi purpose vehicle is also on-hand to provide plenty of extra seats for tired feet.
If all goes to plan, Ian will walk the equivalent of a marathon per day and Toyota hopes that local people will join in by supporting his fundraising efforts along the way. To further support the event, Toyota is donating a new Toyota Yaris car as part of an associated competition.
