Toyota Encourages Youth Creativity in 2017 Dream Car Art Contest

8 November 2016

A camouflaged chameleon car, a mobile home for wildlife or a drone crossover that gives live traffic reports: in the imagination of children there are no limits to the ultimate car of the future. Toyota is once again inviting youngsters to inspire the world with their car designs in its eleventh annual Dream Car Art Contest.

Entries have opened for the UK round of the global competition, which always attracts a variety of creative car designs. Last year Denisa Rissa from Luton was an international finalist in the 2016 contest.

How to enter
Children are asked to draw or paint their dream car, against a background to illustrate wherever it is designed to be driven. The artwork should be accompanied by a short explanation of how the car works and what makes it special. Submissions must be hand-drawn or painted, not computer generated. Paper must be in A3 size.

The age categories are: under-eight, eight to 11 years old and 12 to 15 years and all entrants must live in the UK. Winners of each category will receive an iPad at the UK awards ceremony on 19 February 2017, held at Toyota GB headquarters in Epsom as well as qualification for the worldwide competition. World finalists will win an amazing trip to the global prize ceremony in Japan in 2017.

Entry forms can be downloaded and more information, including inspiration from previous winning designs and full competition terms and conditions, can be found at the Dream Car Art Contest page at The closing date for entries is Wednesday 18 January 2017.
