Toyota Gazoo Racing to Unveil GR Supra Super GT Concept at Tokyo Auto Salon
Toyota Gazoo Racing will be unveiling a Supra GT Concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon which takes place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan from 11 to 13 January 2019.
For the 2019 show, Toyota Gazoo Racing has chosen the theme From Past to Future, and features the challenges the team face in motorsport today as well as highlights from the past. Fresh from lifting the manufacturer title at the FIA World Rally Championship the stand line-up includes the Toyota Yaris WRC car, the Le Mans winning FIA World Endurance Championship car TS050 and the Lexus LC Nurburgring specification, all of which will be competing in the 2019 season. To represent the past there is a historic Toyota Supra that competed in domestic market race series.
Toyota Gazoo Racing uses its motorsports activities to develop its cars and people with the goal of “making ever-better cars.” It participates in top category races as well as national rallies and races. The technologies and know-how it acquires through these activities are subsequently fed back into the development of new production vehicles.
