Yaris refreshed for 2016
The Toyota Yaris range has been refreshed for 2016, with changes led by the introduction of a new Design grade, with the option of a new bi-colour exterior that matches a metallic black roof, pillars, door mirrors and upper grille with white or red bodywork. Equipment specifications have been improved and there are new option packs to choose from, too. Read more here.

Mirai makes history in London
The Toyota Mirai has become London’s first hydrogen-powered private hire car, carrying its first customer on a West End shopping expedition. In the course of the journey through the capital, Mirai’s only emissions were a glass or two of water. Read more here.

The new RAV4 arrives in the UK
The first new RAV4 models have arrived in the UK, marking the first stage in a revision of the range that will include the first hybrid version early in the New Year. The initial cars feature a new 2.0-litre diesel engine and an improved 2.0-litre Valvematic power unit. Read more here.

Hilux reward for tradesman Darren
Darren Lawson has been given the keys to a brand new Hilux Invincible X as part of his prize haul for winning this year’s Britain’s Top Tradesperson competition. Read more here.

Toyota boosts investment in Artificial Intelligence
Toyota is promoting joint research and development of AI technologies with an investment in the technology venture firm Preferred Networks Inc. This will support Toyota’s research into areas including automated driving and ways of developing safer and accessible future mobility. Read more here.

Wurz takes on new Toyota racing role
Alex Wurz retired from the driver’s seat at the end of this year’s World Endurance Championship season, but he’s carrying on as a key member of the Toyota Gazoo Racing team. For at least the next two years he will be working as an advisor and ambassador for the team as it continues its WEC programme. Read more here.

Great machines from the Toyota Automobile Museum took to the road in the venue’s annual classic car festival in Tokyo. As well as some rare and wonderful Toyota models there was also a host of great cars from other manufacturers on display. Read more here.
