Land Cruiser V8 bows out

The Tacoma dynasty rolls on
Trucks – or pick-ups as we know them – are big business across the Atlantic, which makes the launch of the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma an important occasion. The North American version of our Hilux has been given a restyle and fitted with a new V6 engine.

Music fest journeys with Corolla
Toyota has helped two singer-songwriters explore two of the USA’s top music festivals through social media this summer, providing them with a Corolla to make the journey to Lollapalooza in Chicago and Outlands in San Francisco. Becky G and Raquel Sofia have mixed with the artists and got behind the scenes of the events, recording their experiences with blogs and videos.

Best of the blog: GT86 vs helicopter
Felix Baumgartner, the daredevil who jumped to earth from the edge of space, has taken the controls of a helicopter to challenge the drifting skills of a modified 1,000bhp V8-powered GT86. The duel between Baumgartner in the Red Bull aerobatic helicopter and the Toyota coupe, driven by Polish drift king Jakub Przygoński, is more than a simple chase, with pilot and driver negotiating different obstacles in the course of their battle. The results are captured in a breathtaking film – see and read more here.
